A space for healing and growth
*I am not currently accepting new clients.*
I have over a decade and a half experience as a psychotherapist working mainly with adults. I depend on my client to direct the way I work, as every human is the true expert on their own experience. I rely on using techniques and a therapeutic style that are compassionate, respectful, uniquely-tailored, and value the whole person.
I have extensive experience working with individuals with severe and persistent mental health symptoms from disorders like depression, anxiety, psychosis, PTSD, OCD, bipolar, and ADHD. I also specialize in working with people who want to find healing in relation to all forms of trauma including systemic oppression and discrimination. I excel at supporting those who seek to find ways to change beliefs or troubling or extreme behaviors that are negatively impacting their life.
My practice centers inclusion and affirmation. I’ve had the honor of serving members of the LGBTQIA+ community, veterans, artists, people working in high-stress jobs like caregiving, social services, nonprofit-community service, or corporate environments. My depth of experience is serving individuals who face chronic pain and disabling health conditions including HIV. I practice a harm reduction approach generally. I engage a respectful position toward people using substances including alcohol, and can assist with strategies for use reduction including abstinence-based recovery. I am a certified Transgender Care Therapist.
I work in an accessible office that is private, professional, and comfortable. I also offer telehealth appointments so individuals do not have to travel to my location. My commitment is to provide a space to support positive self-growth, expansion, and connection.
On your first appointment, you can expect to plan ways to move forward in working together and to describe or outline what has brought you to therapy at this particular moment in your life. From there, we’ll move into suggestions for practices you can try right away to help move toward your vision for change. I look forward to meeting you and focusing with you on increasing self-care, self-awareness, and authentic growth. I support you with your hope to find a more contented, self-accepting and peaceful version of yourself.
