A space for healing and growth
I have over a decade and a half experience as a psychotherapist working mainly with adults. I depend on the needs of my client to direct the way I work, as every human is the true expert on their own experience. I rely on using techniques and a therapeutic style that are compassionate, respectful, uniquely-tailored, and value the whole person.
I have extensive experience working with individuals with severe and persistent mental health symptoms from disorders like depression, anxiety, psychosis, PTSD, OCD, bipolar, and ADHD. I also specialize in working with people who want to find healing in relation to trauma and oppression they’ve experienced. I excel at finding ways to change beliefs or troubling or extreme behaviors that are negatively impacting a person’s life.
I am affirming, and I’ve had the honor of serving members of the LGBTQIA+ community, veterans, artists, people working in high-stress jobs like caregiving, community service, or corporate environments, individuals who face chronic pain and disabling health conditions. I practice a harm reduction approach to substance use disorder, and am experienced and respectful of people currently using drugs including alcohol, and also those in abstinence-based recovery. I am a certified Transgender Care Therapist.
I work in an accessible office that is private, professional, and comfortable. I also offer telehealth appointments so you do not have to travel to my location. My commitment is to provide a nonjudgmental and emotionally safe experience to support your positive self-growth, expansion, and connection.
On your first appointment, you can expect to discuss ways to move forward in working together and a thorough discussion of what has brought you to therapy at this particular moment in your life. From there, we’ll move into suggestions for practices you can try right away in your life to help move toward your personal goals. I look forward to meeting you and focusing on increasing self-care, self-awareness, and developing increased emotional regulation and resiliency to provide a way to find a more contented, self-accepting and peaceful life.
